The Duke of York
The Duke of York Inn is situated on the A515 approximately 1 mile south of Flagg and 0.5 miles north west of it’s neighbouring ale house, the Bull i’th’Thorn. Located within the hamlet of Pomeroy, the nearest village with a place of worship is Flagg. Chelmorton is approximately 0.75 miles north and the towns of Buxton, Bakewell and Ashbourne are but a short drive away The alehouse was first opened in 1618 as part of the farmstead owned by John and Maria White. The public house now offers a warm welcome to all who enter, serving snacks and wonderful homemade evening meals. There is a large car park, space for camping, a children’s play area and beer garden surrounding the large white building.
Wonderful views across the fields to Flagg can be enjoyed on warm summer evenings.
